Through Yager Management Ltd., David Yager provides executive advisory, research, policy analysis and in-depth reports to governments, companies and trade associations. Since mid-2023 he has provided research and advisory services exclusively for the Province of Alberta.
Through consulting, research and writing, David Yager is a recognized source of expert advice on the upstream oil and gas industry in Canada and around the world. He is regularly contacted by numerous media sources and provides industry research and analysis on an advisory basis to governments, companies and trade associations.
David Yager purchased his first business in 1979 at age 25 and has since been a catalyst and investor in the creation and growth of several enterprises with national and international reach. As an entrepreneur and merger and acquisition specialist, he has been a founder, senior executive and director of three successful publicly traded oilfield service companies that purchased dozens of private companies.
Since 1979 David Yager has been a regular contributor and commentator in trade magazines and newspapers and on radio and television on business, economics, politics and public affairs. As a keynote speaker, he has been analyzing and commenting on politics and complex energy issues for many years. In the spring of 2019 he released his book titled From Miracle to Menace – Alberta, A Carbon Story.
